'Heliocentric' was a very polarizing album, people either loved it or hated it. So far it seems people really like the album. I try not to have too many expectations, I follow the teachings of Buddha here: "meet what comes with an open mind" the good man said. How was 'Heliocentric' received earlier this year? What are your expectations for the reception of 'Anthropocentric'? Considering the fact that we've been on the road for more than two months now spirit's good, we're all still enjoying it despite the fact that we've been sleeping on people's floors for weeks, but we're also looking forward to getting back home for a while and to sleeping in a bed. Got two days off now in Belgrade and a headlining show here on Sunday, which we expect to be awesome as usual. We're currently on tour with Anathema in Eastern Europe and we're enjoying being back in the first world after having been in the UK with Dillinger for ten days. Together with band leader/guitarist Robin Staps Lords Of Metal discuss the new albums context and digs a bit deeper into the religious critiques that form its theme. New singer Loïc Rossetti's warm vocal sounds have been integrated better into the songs and on top of that the good man is allowed to scream his head off more often. However, with November's thematic counterpart 'Anthropocentric', fans can relax again. The Ocean, German's prominent postmetal collective (though band is the more apt term nowadays), split their fanbase in two with this year's 'Heliocentric'.
